Out of the Box – Original Piano Composition by Helen Moffatt (Digital Download)

Out of the Box is a heartfelt original piano piece composed by Helen Moffatt, a primary school music teacher and member of Rare Dementia Support, who lives with primary progressive aphasia (PPA) - a rare form of dementia that affects speech and language.

Featured on Channel 4’s The Piano, this moving composition is dedicated to consultant speech and language therapist Dr Anna Volkmer and all the professionals who have supported her.

“In my teaching of music, I always want children to be who they are and build up their individual strengths,” says Helen. “Don’t limit people by boxes - all are unique with our own stories, and this also applies to people living with rare dementias.”
